This is a replacement boat trailer Disc Brake Master Cylinder for UFP / Dexter brand surge actuators, complete with an integrated reverse lockout solenoid with 2 wire connection. This master cylinder is part of the UFP by Dexter lineup, and is a compatible replacement for some of their most popular trailer surge brake coupler actuators, including the DX7.5L (formerly UFP A-60), and DX8.5L (formerly UFP A-84). If your Hydraulic Trailer Disc Brake Actuator is not performing optimally, it may just be the Master Cylinder that is the issue. Replacing the Master Cylinder can often cause a Hydraulic Trailer Brake System to work like new again, and since you will have to empty all the lines and re-bleed the brakes, it is a good way to flush out any troubling parts and make sure everything is installed and working at peak performance. This sealed Master Cylinder reservoir diaphragm barrier inhibits moisture from contaminating brake fluid and corroding brake components. The reservoir cap is also recessed to prevent damage.

This Dexter manufactured disc brake master cylinder is constructed with an aluminum housing, making it perfect for boat trailers and land trailers alike. This updated style unit has an integrated valve with a threaded inlet for attachment of the 2 wire solenoid coil. This new style is still interchangeable with the older style 2-piece master cylinder, but the integrated design allows for fewer connection points (fewer leak points) as well as an internal recirculation hose (no more dealing with an external hose to allow the fluid to bypass). The Lockout Solenoid receives power from your Tow Vehicle's Reverse Lights and grounds to the trailer; allowing you to reverse your trailer without the brakes engaging. This Master Cylinder is the OEM replacement for the Disc Brake Versions of all UFP and UFP by Dexter Actuators.
