Kodiaks All Stainless Steel kits are the highest quality and longest lasting disc brake sets you can put on your trailer. This 6 Lug, 5,200lb-6,000lb Slip On version uses all stainless steel components. The Stainless Caliper Brackets mount to your trailers standard 5 hole Brake Flange. As this kit does not include hubs, the stainless steel 6 Lug rotors would slide over your existing idler style (not brake drum) hubs with a lug pattern of 6 on 5 1/2. The rotor is fastened tight when the the lug nuts are tightened on the wheel. We do have this kit available with 6 Lug Galvanized hubs for complete replacement.
This is Kodiaks Part #2/RCM-12-SS This is an ALL Stainless Steel Kit that contains (2) Kodiak 225 Stainless Steel Calipers with Stainless Steel backed brake pads, (4) Stainless Steel Kodiak Slider Pin Guide Bolts, (2) Stainless Steel Caliper Mounting Brackets, and (2) Kodiak Stainless Steel 6 Lug Slip Over Rotors
When Doing This Project:
We have this Listing Available without hubs if you are choosing to use your existing hubs. For Kodiak Corrosion Protection Options See Link Below, also see following Chart. Salt Spray Tests Consist of exposing Parts to constant Salted Solution in an enclosed and sealed Chamber to rapidly increase corrosion of materials to test results. This accelerated process tests the strength and endurance of materials based on hours of constant contact until considerable corrosion exists.
 | Kodiak E Coat - (250-350 hours before rust formation) E Coat is ideal for majority on road usage and minor freshwater/saltwater environments. E Coated Kodiak Brake Kits are commonly used on roads that are salted as the E Coat offers the ideal amount of protection for this environment. | | Kodiak Dacromet Coating - (300-400 hours before rust formation) Dacromet is ideal for on road usage as well as minor/moderate usage in saltwater environments. The Dacromet would be considered the starting point for selecting a Kodiak Disc Brake Kit for use on your Boat Trailer in a marine environment. | | Koda Guard Coating - (600-800 hours before rust formation) Koda Guard is ideal for on road usage as saltwater usage due to its increased patented coating that offers twice the protection as the Dacromet Coating. This coating is an innovation in the area of anti corrosion materials that offers the best buy to customers looking for an affordable disc brake kit that offers protection from saltwater. | | Stainless Steel - Has ZERO adverse effects due to corrosion. Stainless Steel offers the best Brake Kit Caliper option for marine usage. Stainless Steel Kodiak Calipers are simply the best Caliper to be used on Boat Trailers.
