This Galvanized 6 Lug Trailer Hub is sold separately to accommodate your 5,200lb to 6,000lb trailer Spindle. This spindle is referred to as a #42 Spindle measuring

1 3/4" x 1 1/4". We include the races pre-installed into this hub. In addition, the inner and outer bearings, as well the the appropriate grease seals are included to complete one side of your axles assembly. Galvanized Hubs are ideal for use in all environments, as this coating provides the highest level of corrosion protection available in trailer hubs. We offer this hub for several reasons. You can use this idler style hub to outfit your axle that may not be using brakes. You can also use this hub if you intend to later add one of Kodiak Slip On 6 Lug Disc Brake Kits 5200lb 12 inch down the road. The Slip Over Style rotor would fix right onto the 1/2 inch studs on this hub, and secure when the wheel is mounted and the lug nuts are tightened. This hub is ideal for either a painted steel or galvanized trailer axle.

This 6 Galvanized Hub Kit Includes:

(1) Galvanized 6 Lug Idler Hub for #42 Spindle, (1) 1 3/4" (25580) Trailer Bearing, (1) 1 1/4" (15123) Trailer Bearing, (1) 2 1/4" ID Grease Seals, (1) 2 1/8" ID Grease Seals

*We include both sizes of Grease Seals possible on your spindle for your convenience, you will only use one of the sizes, test fit each grease seal to determine the correct size for your spindles seal surface, discard the one you will not need.

When Doing this Project:

As you are replacing a Hub on your trailers spindle, you will additionally need to re-pack your trailer bearings with Trailer Hub Bearing Grease. We offer Kendall Lubricants as a super high temp and top of the line wheel bearing grease for your trailer bearings. Once the hub has been re-packed and installed, you may be needing a replacement 2.441 inch Trailer Dust Cap Accu-lube, EZ Lube Fits Standard 6 Lug Trailer Hubs if you're using the Posi-Lube system (with a grease fitting installed on the tip of your spindle) or Stainless Steel Trailer Bearing Buddy Protector 2.441 6 Lug Hubs (for a pressurized greasing application). This Trailer Hub using the standard 1/2-20 Trailer Lug Nuts, which we offer in many options.
